Quick overview

Welcome to the LlVE Competition! ENDietS is excited to invite you to this challenge that is based on four main pillars: "Local", "Impact", "Vision", and "Environment". This competition is all about showcasing the role that dietitians and nutritionists can play in solving local sustainability problems related to food and nutrition.

Participants will have the chance to present their ideas and solutions for a local problem and potentially inspire others to have a real impact in their communities. With your knowledge, you can bring a unique perspective to the table and help bridge the gap between nutrition and sustainability. Join the LIVE Competition and demonstrate your commitment to promoting local sustainability solutions through food!

To participate, please fill out the Application Form, completely and accurately. You can learn more about the Evaluation Process, Selection Criteria, and Prizes by reading the LIVE Competition Summary file below.

The application deadline is 12th May 2023, 23:59 CEST.

Please note that only ENDietS registered members and students or graduates of nutrition and/or dietetics are eligible to participate in this competition. Each Google Form may only represent a single participant, and all information must be provided in English.

Application Process

  • Present one sustainability problem and your solution by filling out the Google Forms of the LIVE Competition: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdgKfnx80SldalMfyAUmG3D0qtwvUzM6plcJJSbJX8KSCyLGg/viewform?usp=sf_link
  • After answering all questions, remember to review them.
  • When your application is ready, submit the questionnaire.
  • Finalists from the 1st Phrase will be contacted by email and will be announced on ENDietS Social Media channels.
  • Through the time of the 2nd Phase, you can spread the post presenting your idea, in order to increase its interaction and your chance to win!
  • The final results will be shared with each finalist through email.

1st Phase (Selection): The Competition Jury will determine 5 finalists, and score them, based on the following 5 criteria:

  • Value of the proposal: How relevant is the problem in the context presented?
  • Impactful solution: Will the solution proposed have a positive impact on the problem presented?
  • Feasibility: Is it reasonable to think that the solution proposed could be implemented in the reality described?
  • Novelty: Would you consider the proposed idea novel?
  • You can receive extra points by submitting your certificate from the “Sustainability in Dietetics” course from the EFAD Learning platform and providing any supporting data or sources that corroborate the impact you described.

2nd Phase (Public Evaluation): The evaluation of this phase is based on each post’s interaction (number of likes, shares, comments, and saves). A post that has more interaction, receives more points.

The sum of the points obtained from both phases will reveal the winners of the Competition.
