Quick overview

This year’s World Diabetes Day focuses on wellbeing and, in particular, “Diabetes in the Workplace.” To mark the occasion, the European Specialist Dietetic Network for Diabetes (ESDN Diabetes) within EFAD has developed a series of resources designed to support people living with diabetes during their busy workdays and to empower healthcare professionals to promote healthier, more inclusive workplace environments.

New Pocket Recipe Booklet: Easy Snacks for Busy Workdays

Healthy snacking can play a meaningful role in maintaining steady energy, improving concentration, and supporting better glucose control, yet finding delicious, balanced options at work is often a challenge.

To address this, ESDN Diabetes has created a recipe booklet featuring simple, tasty, and diabetes-friendly snacks that can easily be prepared at home and brought to work.
All photos included in the booklet are original.

These recipes help you stay nourished, satisfied, and focused throughout the day—no matter how busy work gets.

“How many people know the power of simple swaps?”

Even small, everyday food changes can support better glucose control and overall well-being.
ESDN Diabetes has designed a new educational infographic to highlight just that.

The infographic:

  • visually guides users from “Can be improved”
    to “Most balanced option”
  • promotes practical, achievable swaps
    suitable for real-life work environments
  • empowers individuals to improve their
    snack choices gradually
  • reinforces the message that small steps
    can lead to meaningful progress
