
EFAD’s specialist networks take a leading role in the management of diet and nutrition through evidence-based treatment and interventions. EFAD is calling for nominations for specialist dietitians and dietetic students who wish to contribute to the work of the following European Specialist Dietetic Networks committees from 2025 to 2029:
- Diabetes: Student Member/s
- Food Service: Student Member/s
- Gastroenterology: Member Dietitian + Student Member
- Older Adults: Student Member/s
- Oncology: Member Dietitian/s + Student Member
- Primary Care: Member Dietitian/s
- Public Health: Student Member/s
The European Specialist Dietetic Networks (ESDNs) support European dietitians in their specialism. They achieve this by engaging with decision-makers and policymakers at local, national, and European levels. They develop and designate evidence-based guidelines for the nutritional management of diseases and health. In addition, they support and contribute to dietetic research programs in their areas to further develop the evidence base for practice.
Selection Criteria
- A qualification in nutrition and dietetics
- Proven experience & competence in the speciality field (preferably >5 years of experience)
- Willingness to actively manage and develop the role and work of the ESDN
- Membership of an EFAD member organisation (Full, Affiliate or Education Associate).
Nomination procedure
Nominations must be accompanied by:
- Curriculum Vitae
- Letter of motivation
- List of skills that the applicant will contribute to EFAD and the specific ESDN
- Letter of recommendation from an EFAD member organisation
