Contribution of protein intake and physical activity to disability in the UK Higher protein intake, especially in combination with higher physical activity may delay the incidence of disability in very old adults.

 

Prospective Associations of Diet Quality with Incident Frailty in Older Adults: The Health, Aging, and Body Composition Study   Older adults with a poor-quality diet had a higher risk of developing frailty compared to older adults with a good-quality diet. Our study suggests that it is important to adhere as much as possible to the national dietary guidelines for older adults to postpone or prevent the development of frailty.
