Development of a Code of Conduct on Food Loss and Food Waste Prevention

FAO would like to invite you cordially to an online consultation for the Development of a Code of Conduct on Food Loss and Food Waste Prevention.

It is widely recognized that one of the key practical actions to address the challenges that affect the sustainability of agricultural and food systems is to reduce food losses and waste (FLW).

With this in mind, the FAO Committee on Agriculture (COAG) requested FAO to take the lead in developing Voluntary Codes of Conduct for the reduction of food loss and food waste.

This online consultation is part of a global process that will engage different stakeholders to develop these Codes of Conduct. More specifically, we invite you to share your feedback and suggestions on the outline of the Codes of Conduct and the content of its different sections.

Please read the full introduction and the draft outline here. To take part, post your comments online or send them to fsn-moderator@fao.org.
Your contributions are welcome in Russian and English.

Also, please do not hesitate to extend this invitation to anyone interested in the topic.
