The European Federation of Associations of Dietitians (EFAD) is very supportive of the EARNEST project and welcomes the opportunity to collaborate in the dissemination of the knowledge, materials, tools and policies resulting from the project.

A greater understanding of the influence of nutrition pre- and post-natally on the future health of the individual has enormous potential. The scientific evidence will impact on dietetic practice, from the dietary counselling of the individual and public health initiatives, to the generation of nutrition policy.

As a federation of national Dietetic Associations representing Dietitians in 23 countries across Europe, EFAD is in a position to reach a large number of professionals who will translate the science into information which could benefit future generations.
