The European Nutrition for Health Alliance (ENHA) was established to raise awareness of the importance and urgency of malnutrition and appropriate nutritional care as well as to build an agenda for action at the European and member state level.
The agenda for 2008-2009 includes an European campaign addressing malnutrition and appropriate nutritional care ´Air, water, Nutrition: It´s a Basic Need´, consultations with MEP´s within the European Parliament to tackle malnutrition and include appropriate nutritional care in future EU health policies,  dialogues with the European Commission DG Sanco and DG Employment to explore opportunities for connecting ENHA activities to existing EU programmes and co-funding for research and/or implementation activities.
 
EFAD is a member of the Alliance since 2009.
